GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE SERVER The following Terms of Service ("TOS," "Terms," or "Agreement") apply to the use of our website, Discord server, game, and all services, features, and/or content provided by Ascend MU. By creating your account on our website or accessing the game, you declare that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this TOS. The latest version of our TOS is always available on the Ascend MU website. It is essential that you read this TOS before registering or using any service(s) from Ascend MU. ADMINISTRATION AND SERVER The administrative team of Ascend MU is entirely composed of legally capable individuals, of Brazilian nationality, volunteers, and without any personal and/or professional ties with the original developer of Mu Online - Webzen - and its employees, making this service a private server of the same game. It is the responsibility of its members to manage and ensure the full operation of the server, which refers to technical issues, financial support, community support, and other aspects, except in cases where the team's intervention proves unnecessary or impossible to carry out. By accepting the terms of use of Ascend MU and creating your account, the user grants the administration the rights to manage their account by altering the data provided at the time of registration that are not in accordance with the server rules or temporarily or permanently suspending their registration in cases where a rule violation is found, whether in the game itself or on any other community platform managed by the administration; however, the user does NOT grant the administration the rights to use their email, name, password, and IP address provided at the time of registration for any purpose. A suspended player has the right to appeal ONLY ONCE for a review of the suspension by the administration, which will decide whether the penalty was valid or a mistake; the suspended player also has the right to request a copy of the article that condemns them under these terms of use, along with proof of the violation that led to the suspension. The review can be made through the support system on Discord (ticket). Although the game's proposal is to run 24 hours a day, the Ascend MU team may shut down the servers to perform maintenance deemed necessary for the proper functioning of equipment and programs. These maintenance activities may or may not be scheduled in advance, depending on the technical adjustments required. All information related to your account(s) is the property of Ascend MU. SECURITY We are NOT responsible for the security of your username and password. Players are responsible for protecting their accounts. This means you should never provide your login or account password on any site that is not Ascend MU (https://ascendmu.net). DO NOT disclose your login information; the moment you provide your login or personal information, you effectively give away all the items you possess, including the account itself. Violating this rule is at your own risk. Any issues arising from sharing your account(s), passwords, or personal information at any cybercafé or through other actions are solely the responsibility of the registered account user. We will not assume responsibility or provide any support for any problems that may occur with your account. DO NOT log into any user's account that is not your own. Once you do, your computer's hardware number will be registered to that user's account. In the event of any account and/or hardware ban, your computer will also be banned, even if your personal account is not. To access your account, you will need to use a new PC. This rule also applies to any cybercafé or computers owned by schools or libraries. We will NOT provide any support to users who are using IP hide, proxy, or any third-party program. By becoming a member of Ascend MU, you are signing up for the server's newsletter, which may be sent monthly. Names (character names/IGNs (in-game names) and guilds should not contain administrator aliases or any other type of meaning that could confuse players. Furthermore, the use of biased or derogatory names in any form is prohibited. It is the player's responsibility to ensure the security of their own account, preferably following the STAFF guidelines, which are: changing the password every 14 days; not using public or unknown computers or internet networks to log into the game; keeping your computer's security software always updated; keeping your login details confidential, never sharing your account with third parties, no matter how trustworthy they may be. The administration will not intervene in problems caused by the player's carelessness regarding the security of their account. Under no circumstances will lost items or stolen WCoins/GoblinPoints be refunded. Ascend MU will not be responsible for any damages to items and/or regressions in character features caused by internet connection slowness or loss on the part of the user. It is up to the user to judge the situation and determine whether or not it is possible to perform combinations in the Chaos Machine, trade, etc. It is understood that by registering on the website, the user is already aware of the terms of use in effect on the server. Claiming ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as justification for unlocking an account, character, or reimbursing any type of loss the user may incur. RESTRICTIONS The online environment has various communication systems, which make it possible to send and receive written messages from other players. Due to the potential for displaying any type of content, the in-game chat and other official Ascend MU networks have their own rules and prohibitions established to promote mutual respect and conscious use of these tools. The use of in-game chat or Discord text channels to disseminate hate speech, xenophobia, racism, pornographic content, personal insults, and other condemnable and intolerant behaviors is strictly prohibited, as outlined and punishable under Brazilian Federal Constitution. Ascend MU administration believes that players' freedom of expression should be upheld. However, penalties will be imposed on the offender if the target of insult, slander, and defamation feels harmed by the terms directed at them, or if the team deems it necessary. Furthermore, penalties may be applied if a user makes disrespectful, unnecessary, or excessive comments inside or outside the game about any player. The penalty for violating this term ranges from a 5-minute chat block to permanent suspension of the account(s). The administrative team reserves the right to regularly check chat logs to apply penalties even if the insulted party does not complain about the terms directed at them. Advertising other private Mu Online servers within Ascend MU or on its affiliated social networks is intolerable. The penalty for violating this term is permanent IP suspension of the player. The use of special characters (ASCII, HTML, etc.) that significantly hinder or make reading impossible in an online environment is prohibited. The penalty for violating this term ranges from a 5-minute chat block to a 7-day suspension of the character or their account. Impersonating an Ascend MU administrator or using names that may be understood as such (GM-xxx, ADM-xxx, etc.) is strictly prohibited. The penalty for violating this term is permanent IP suspension of the player. Attempting to prevent any Ascend MU partner from performing common tasks in the game while exercising their function as a partner (videos, live streams, etc.) is strictly prohibited. The penalty for violating this term ranges from a 3-day block to permanent suspension of the player’s account(s). Attempting to tarnish the image of any Ascend MU partner while exercising their function as a partner (videos, live streams, etc.) through in-game chat is strictly prohibited. The penalty for violating this term ranges from a 3-day block to permanent suspension of the player’s account(s). Spreading false, unfounded information, rumors about the server, partners, and/or its administrators with the intent of damaging the image of those involved or disrupting the smooth functioning of the services provided in the game is strictly prohibited. The penalty for violating this term ranges from a 1-hour chat block to permanent suspension of the player’s account(s) from all Ascend MU platforms and services. Falsifying, altering, or forging evidence (screenshots, audio, etc.) to deceive the game’s administrators and force/cause unjust and unnecessary punishments against someone is strictly prohibited. The penalty for violating this term ranges from a 7-day block to permanent suspension of the player’s account(s). Submitting others to circumstances that prevent them from fully enjoying the game’s events and activities, except for the use of MuHelper to gain experience, is prohibited. This rule does not apply in situations where PvP is inherent, expected, and even essential (such as Castle Siege, for example). If the player is AFK (away from the computer), the rule does not apply. The penalty for violating this term ranges from a 1-day block to permanent suspension of the player’s account(s). All advertising of unofficial trading groups or communities through Ascend MU's official communication platforms is prohibited. The penalty for violating this term ranges from a 30-day block to permanent suspension of the user's account(s) from official platforms. VIRTUAL PROPERTY Buying, selling, and trading accounts and items for real money or for any other game server not affiliated with Ascend MU is strictly PROHIBITED. The penalty for violating this term ranges from temporary suspension of the account(s) to permanent IP suspension of the player and associated accounts. All Ascend MU accounts, items, and any content related to Ascend MU belong to the administrators, and it is at their discretion to move accounts and characters without prior notice. If you are caught buying, selling, or trading items for real money outside of the Ascend MU site, community chat (Facebook, Forum, Discord, etc.), or in-game, it will result in your permanent ban. This means that if we find you selling Ascend MU property on any social media or forum, even if they are unofficial, it will result in an immediate ban. This includes your accounts being shared or used by another person, as we will have no other means of ensuring your innocence in case of such transactions. Therefore, this will result in the permanent suspension of your accounts, all related characters, and all items associated with these accounts. Additionally, any type of business or commercial activity involving accounts, items, or the content of Ascend MU in exchange for real money or any other form of consideration outside the game is strictly prohibited. Donations: By making any donation to the server, you are accepting and understanding that it is a donation, not a purchase. All donations are used for server maintenance and are non-refundable under any circumstances. As a reward for your donation, you will receive WCoins or any other currency available within the game. Ascend MU does not sell items or in-game advantages; donations are entirely voluntary. *I'm aware that selling items, coins, or characters for resources outside the server is prohibited. *I'm aware that transferring accounts is prohibited.
